Recently added to May’s “Now Listen to Me…” column is a review of Sweet Smell of Success (1957) which in addition to being this month’s Blu-ray recommendation, is having a second showing on TCM Tuesday, May 30 at 10 pm PDT. My review can be read here.

Today on TCM:

TCM’s final recommendation is John Ford's masterpiece The Searchers (1956), previously reviewed here. It is Top Ten Western #2 and is as likely as any film to provide one with a truly unforgettable, rich and rewarding movie watching experience. The search will begin Wednesday, May 31 at 2 pm PDT.

John Wayne

TCM's current monthly schedule can be confirmed by clicking on either of the above images. For those who live in parts of the U.S. other than the western region, the time zone can be adjusted in the upper right-hand corner of TCM's programme.

Now available on Watch TCM is the uproarious and thoroughly engaging Bringing Up Baby (1938) previously recommended here. “Watch TCM” is free for TCM subscribers allowing them to access many of the films at their leisure that have recently been shown on the cable network. Its current programme can be seen by clicking on the banner above or the picture below.

Virginia Walker, Cary Grant

Bringing Up Baby will be available to watch at the subscriber’s discretion beginning Wednesday, May 31st for approximately one week’s time.

All responses are not only welcomed but encouraged in the comments section below.

Hope to see you tomorrow.
