Today on TCM:

Top Ten Western #8 High Noon (1952), is a simple but tightly constructed narrative, one of the few that unravels almost completely in real time. This western shows how to build suspense and character synergistically to create a most genuine and satisfying cinematic experience. The showdown will arrive on TCM Wednesday, August 16 at 5 pm PDT.
