Today and this weekend on TCM:
Stanley Kubrick took the entire film community, along with noir fans, by (a perfect) storm with his innovative 1956 take on the caper genre, The Killing previously recommended here. "The best-laid plans..." will be presented on TCM Friday, August 21 at 8 pm PDT.
That's actually Rodney Dangerfield in the crowd (Standing on the ground, second from the right).
TCM is bringing back Bringing Up Baby (1938) previously recommended here. "Baby" will be brought back and up on Sunday, August 23 at 1 pm PDT.
