Fans of film noir who haven't seen John Brahm's 1946 The Locket do not want to miss the opportunity to experience this hypnotically mesmerising drama. A previous recommendation here, The Locket is a dream-like journey crying out to be discovered.

In London, United Kingdom The Prince Charles Cinema will present Heat [The Director’s Definitive Edition] (1995, a 4k presentation) Friday, January 26 at 5 pm and Close Encounters of the Third Kind [The Director’s Cut] (1977, a 35mm print) Saturday, January 27 at 1 pm.

Noir City now taking place in Oakland, California is running until January 28th.

On Friday, January 26th, a double bill of The Asphalt Jungle (1950) will be shown at 7:15 pm along with Symphony for a Massacre aka Symphonie pour un massacre (1963) at 9:20 pm.

On Saturday, January 27th, a double bill of Across the Bridge (1957) will be shown at 1:30 pm along with Zero Focus aka Zero no shôten (1961) at 3:30 pm.
