New York City’s vernacular never smelled sweeter than it does in 1957’s Sweet Smell of Success. Any device designed to test acidity levels, applied to this film’s dialogue, would itself disintegrate right after turning it on. Sweet Smell of Success has been reviewed as a Blu-ray recommendation here.
